Wendy's photographic style is mindful, compassionate, and honest, driven by intuition, insatiable curiosity, and her love of storytelling. 

Growing up in the embassy-land of Washington, D.C. gave Wendy the unique world view of experiencing other cultures through a day-to-day lens. This not only ignited her profound wanderlust but fuels her desire to capture images that convey a message about the world. 

Her respect and empathy for people and cultures, and keen ability to meaningfully engage with both, allows her to capture intimate, authentic moments that reveal rich commentaries beyond the frame. Her vulnerability and willingness to expose herself endows her photographs with the power to convey the commonality of the human experience, from a unique point of view.

Wendy's photographs have been the subject of solo and juried shows and competitions in the U.S. and internationally, and have been published in media outlets worldwide, including a photo essay in Travel & Leisure magazine. 

Her first book, "My Holiday in North Korea: The Funniest/Worst Place on Earth" (Rosetta Books, 2016; Simon & Schuster 2017), which has sold over 15,000 copies, was named "one of 19 travel photography books that will change the way you see the world," by AOL.com. Her writing has also been published in Travel & Leisure, Huffington Post, PopSugar, OnMogul, MSN,Yahoo, and other outlets.
